Review: RiRe Lip Powder

Hi loves! I have been trying out something different, RiRe Lip Powders and I have shades 02 Hot Plum and 03 Sugar Rose (1.8g, $3.12). I picked it up from RoseRoseShop and they have altogether 4 shades available.

It comes in a jar and has has a doe foot applicator. Its not the easiest applicator to hold, because of the shape of the cap. You'll see it down below yourself. The cap doesn't let me see where I apply the product very well. I have tried a brush, but it doesn't apply the product as evenly.

Both shades are pigmented and its so cool to see the powder turn into a liquid lipstick/tint. These have matte finish and with the applicator it comes, it applies evenly. It feels comfortable on lip, but I can feel end of the day that its drying, which is expected from long lasting formula. It doesn't transfer when I'm having drinks, but eating something oily would take it off.

The names of the shades are not really fitting with the product, in my oppinion. It looks different in the jar and color is completely different when applied and the shade names still don't fit. You can see the swatches down below. The colors I picked are still stunning and I do like them.

  • 02 Hot Plum - is more like a fuchsia pink then plum.
  • 03 Sugar Rose - I would think this would be shade, which is more to the pink. Sugar Rose is a coral shade.

I'm happy I gave these a go. Its not the easiest product to use, but definetly unique and its affordable. If you are interested I would say go ahead and try it, because how different it is. If you want specific shade, I would recommend checking out the swatches on blogs just to makes sure you like the color you want to get. I don't own anything like this in my collection, so its nice addition, plus the shades are beautiful, even when the names don't fit very well. These are available on RoseRoseShop (link) and there is 4 shades.

Have you tried lip powders before?

Thank you for reading! xo's

  6. I can see why it'd be fascinating to watch and feel the powder turning into a liquid haha, what a cool concept! The application looks quite difficult due to the caps, but wow the colours are gorgeous!

  7. These are new to me. The shades are really pretty. It's a shame you have a bit of difficulty with the applicator.
